Two new judges will be joining the Federal Court of Australia, Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus QC announced yesterday.
Darryl Rangiah QC will begin working at the Federal Court in Brisbane next week, and Dr Melissa Perry QC will serve in the Sydney Registry from September. Rangiah specialises in administrative law, native title law, commercial law and industrial law, and Perry practices in constitutional law, administrative law and native title.
The announcement follows the appointment of four new Federal Court judges in June.
Barrister Joanne Stewart was also appointed to the Federal Circuit Court and will take up her new role in the Sydney Registry next month.
28 AUGUST 2013 UPDATE: Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus QC has announced the appointment of Michael Wigney SC to the Federal Court. He will work at the court's Sydney registry from next month.
